The US Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) has released an important report in 2009. After comparing data from 7,000 scientific studies on   hot dogs   and the risk they have in relation to cancer. The AICR found that for every 50 grams of processed meat eaten each day, the risk of colon cancer increases by 21%. However, the health risks are hardly taken into account because the consumption of this food is practically impossible to stop.

Later studies assessed the harm and danger of eating hot dogs every day. And found that out of 143,000 people affected each year, 53,000 died. Is that not enough to worry about?

Although some supporters of this food claim that the numbers are really exaggerated. And that it is ridiculous to compare the risks with eating hot dogs with tobacco smoking. Is the truth that studies have been able to support that the ingredients in hot dogs have serious negative effects on health. Which can be easily triggered when you eat this product daily.

Some studies suggest that the carcinogens are nitrate and nitrite in hot dogs. But besides that, other factors in the manufacturing process also have an impact.

To make this delicious sausage which is so great to eat and always looks so fresh. Adds to manufacturers a large amount of chemicals that many of us do not know and which are the main cause of health problems.  However, in addition to these chemicals, which significantly improve the taste of this “food”, the health risk is due to low quality in the production of these foods. Most, but not all,  use the meat and waste meat products from concentrated animal husbandry (CAFO),   where animals live and are tortured under conditions that are unhealthy, overpopulated and unhygienic.

The goal of these companies is to get a very cheap “food” as a result, but not a quality product. In the manufacturing process of hot dogs, they use very small amounts of quality meat, and as a substitute, they treat what many consider to be waste, which includes cartilage, fat and viscera. In addition, they are  subjected to high temperatures, exposing them to bacteria, high sodium , fillers, flavors and preservatives, which make this product a pure health enemy.

Many people still do not know the many risks of eating hot dogs often. Because advertising and the market have blinded the consumer and tricked them into thinking that nothing would happen. If they often eat the “food”. Some also come up with ad strategies to capture the customer and create an addiction that is very hard to get rid of.
