Baked delicacies: 5 fried potato recipes

1. Potatoes with peas and cheddar cheese

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • Canned peas (63 g)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (300 g)
  • Vegetable oil (preferably olives)
  • Spices: Salt, parsley
  • Optional: 1 small onion (30 g)

Preparation

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes. Then cut them into rods.
  2. Bake the potato sticks at 180ºC for approx. 25 or 30 minutes, approx.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat greased with a little olive oil.
  4. Then cut the onion into small pieces (as much as possible). When ready, put it in the pan for a few minutes until golden brown. Stir constantly so it does not burn. When ready, turn off the heat and set the pan aside.
  5. Open the can of peas and use half of them. Sift the liquid and set it aside in a bowl.
  6. Chop the cheddar cheese into small pieces and melt it in the microwave (at low intensity) for 15 seconds. You can also grill the cheese if it is easier. If the 15 seconds are not enough, put it back in for another 10 seconds (do not try to overdo it so that you do not remove the moisture from the cheese).
  7. Remove the potatoes from the oven and immediately pour the cheddar cheese, peas and onions over them.  Then sprinkle a pinch of parsley on top and that’s it!
